1) This is bad poetry.

2) The message is not original at all. I heard all of it when I went to Sunday school as a child, and due to my borderline-obsessive reading about religion I know that the Jesus-freak/anti-establishment movement was part of the 1960’s counterculture. So, he’s about fifty years late with his bad poetry.
